Beschreibung

1. Introduction: The fact of practical reason as a philosophical problem The title of this paper: "Husserl and the Fact of Practical Reason" seems to place Husserl in a direct relation to Kant, whose ethics--as is well known--contains the argument which appeals to the fact of practical reason' (FPR). To avoid any misunderstandings, which could arise from this title, I would like to make clear from the very outset that it is not my aim to present Husserl as a direct follower of Kant (even if my interpretation of Husserlian ethics is more Kantian than Aristotelian) and can neither address the influences of Fichte nor Brentano).
