Beschreibung

In June 2003, the World Freediving Championships in the pool disciplines were held in Belgrade, Serbia. 150 of the world's best freedivers came to the Milan Gale Muškatirovic Sporting Centre to not only fight it out for the title of 2013 World Champion, but to also challenge themselves and achieve some amazing performances.

In this documentary e-book, the achievement and redefining of human physical and mental limits is described through the extreme sport of freediving. It aims to show how the best results in freediving can only be achieved through the complete and perfect harmony of mind and body. In freediving, mental fitness is just as important as physical fitness, perhaps even more so.

In this project, world class freediver Johanna Nordblad's preparation for these World Championships is documented, as are the thoughts of the Finnish National Team members and many of the world's best freedivers. The documentary e-book illustrates the atmosphere that exists around the close-knit freediving community. It also describes the atmosphere of the beautiful city of Belgrade as viewed through the eyes of two travellers, Johanna Nordblad herself and her sister, Elina Manninen, a professional photographer, and who together are the creators of this documentary project.
